Andrew Watkin - Director
As the second person to join CherSoft full time, Andy has been involved in most of CherSoft's developments, specialising in his favourite bit - maths and long calculations.
After graduating in Natural Sciences (Physics and Maths) from Cambridge University in 1984, Andy started work in electronic design, but moved on to software after a few years. He spent 12 years writing software for industrial control systems, wide area monitoring and control systems (300 baud modems, pre the public internet) in Pascal and C, mainly on Unix. Then a few years developing Health service systems (UniData).
He has done quite a bit of traveling, including a year driving to Nepal and back. He is happily married with two children and an old house that needs lots of work in his non-existent spare time.
