CherSoft Mission Manager offers total planning support to enhance the efficiency, speed and accuracy of planning for individual or multiple operations from either main base or deployed sites.
Mission Manager is a complete software solution for planning, rehearsal, operational delivery and review of military or business critical activities.
The CherSoft Mission Manager consists of a Mission Planning (MP) station and a Mission Monitor (MM). These components work closely together to provide all the functionality needed to prepare, execute and analyse a mission.
Mission Planning and Mission Monitoring are very different tasks.
Mission Planning involves the assimilation of all available information from a wide variety of sources. MP brings all these sources together in an integrated, geographically orientated way.
Mission Monitoring is entirely focused on a single task. Situational awareness and guidance in an environment which may be physically and psychologically difficult. The software is simple, clear, and directed. Information that you need when you need it. No extraneous clutter.
The Mission Planner is fully featured application with world class features:
A particular mission will be coordinated through a workspace. This allows a wide combination of charts, maps, views, overlays, notes, images and other information to be combined and managed as a coherent picture.
The full air, land, sea picture. The solution is fully extendable. Inherent flexibility in the software ensures that battle space planning can be achieved on one solution.
The Planner normally operates as a networked system with access to a communications network linking all bases and deployed units. This allows the sharing of data and mission plans, supporting connectivity with other C2 systems. The system can also operate, without degrading its performance, as a stand-alone mechanism without links to external sources. This is a mission enabler to discreet, smaller operational tasks and provides inherent flexibility.
The CherSoft Mission Planner has the ability to export a workspace in a directory/file based format suitable for the Mission Monitor. Charts and overlays are prepared for the mission so as to ensure complete coverage. Data exported includes:
Advanced licensing technology enables access to many commercial data sources while ensuring that critical information is always available in MM.
MM is a dedicated application with the sole purpose of providing clear, precise, real-time situation awareness information during mission execution. The display is a chart window overlaid with the route, points, areas and other useful information.
The Monitor is a sophisticated visualisation system which is designed to be simple and robust in use. Vessel position is tracked automatically. Route monitoring parameters such as cross track error, distance to run, etc. are constantly available. Required user interaction is minimal. The system is designed to show what is needed, when it is needed, in a clear and comprehensible fashion.
An extended programmatic interface is implemented which allows considerable control over the behaviour of MM. This supports integrating the monitor with other mission technology and tailoring the system to a particular environment.
It is clearly recognised that forward units will need mission monitor hardware that is fit for the theatre of operations, therefore to make the best use of the limited screen space in some environments:
Drop a marker on the route at either a specified pixel position or at the current position of the vessel. Markers will be automatically sequentially numbered. A symbol and the number of each marker will be displayed on the chart.
Support for interfacing custom controls:
